Providing Health Insurance Coverage for CWA Union Members.

The UFW Insurance Fund is one of the few Union Funds that still exits where the Board of Trustees consists entirely of Union Representatives representing CWA members throughout the country.  Since it was established in 1944, it is exempt from requiring Employer Trustee positions on its Board.

Pension - About the Fund

The Fund is a multi-employer defined benefit pension plan providing monthly pension to CWA members throughout the country.  Vested participants who begin receiving a monthly pension from the Fund will continue to receive that monthly pension for life.

The Fund was established in 1962 and is regulated by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).  It is run by a bilateral Board of Trustees representing both Union and Employer Trustees.
